Sandbox Wealth, a turnkey banking solution for non-bank financial institutions, has appointed Rob Kenyon as a Senior Advisor. With an expansive career spanning nearly three decades in financial services, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will be invaluable in driving the company’s growth and strategic vision.
Mr. Kenyon joins Sandbox following a successful tenure as Chief Operating Officer at Perpetual US Services (PGIA), where he played a pivotal role in accelerating asset and revenue growth for the US retail division. Under his leadership, Perpetual US saw a 30% increase in assets under management (AUM), a fourfold increase in gross cash flows (GCFs), and a fivefold increase in net cash flows (NCFs) from 2020 to 2023. His strategic initiatives led to the development of multiple mutual funds and collective investment trusts, significantly boosting the company’s financial performance.
As COO, he was instrumental in building the US sales team, infrastructure, and processes, alongside developing new products and centralizing systems to measure results. He managed a business representing approximately $80 billion in AUM across four main affiliates, including Trillium Asset Management, Barrow Hanley Global Investors, TSW, and JO Hambro. His achievements include securing funding for US retail sales, creating a new US Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), and overseeing key accounts activities across multiple channels.
Before his role at Perpetual US, Mr. Kenyon served as Director of Business Management & Strategy and Head of US Retail at Allianz Global Investors. There, he was responsible for driving asset and revenue growth, managing a business with $25 billion in AUM and $142 million in revenues.
His extensive career also includes significant contributions at Virtus Investment Partners, where he spearheaded strategic development and growth initiatives, and at Nuveen Investments, where he was instrumental in establishing the firm’s leadership in the Closed-End Exchange-Traded Funds (CE-ETF) marketplace, raising over $25 billion in assets.
Mr. Kenyon’s appointment as Senior Advisor at Sandbox marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues to innovate and expand its services for independent financial advisors and their clients. His strategic insights and proven track record in business development, product management, and strategy will be crucial in guiding Sandbox toward achieving its ambitious goals.
